The Wildcats strolled past the Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 70-52 for which the team can thank Cecava, who went 12-for-19 to rack up 28 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He has become a key player for Calallen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 25 points, but 3-7 otherwise.<\/p>\n Despite the loss, Martin still got an impressive performance from Miguel Lerma<\/a>, who posted 16 points. Jorge Mendoza<\/a> also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.<\/p>\n The win got Calallen back to even at 7-7. As for Martin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.<\/p>\n Calallen didn’t take long to hit the court again: they’ve already played their next game, a 66-33 victory against Orange Grove on the 12th. As for Martin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-19 win against Corpus Christi Moody on the 12th.<\/p>\n
