The elevated daytime restaurant brings its scratch-made breakfast and brunch menu to Preston Towne Crossing<\/p>\n
Urban Egg, the elevated daytime restaurant known for its all-scratch approach to breakfast and brunch, opened its Plano location on Dec. 15 at 7 a.m., marking the brand\u2019s second restaurant in Texas and its 12th overall.<\/p>\n
The new restaurant is located at 2408 Preston Rd., Suite 704C, in the Preston Towne Crossing district. Urban Egg is a Colorado-based concept focused on made-from-scratch dishes and partnerships with local suppliers whenever possible, according to the company.<\/p>\n

A New Daytime Option For Plano<\/p>\n
The Plano restaurant expands Urban Egg\u2019s presence in North Texas following its first Texas opening. CEO Mark Augarten said the city aligns with the brand\u2019s approach to daytime dining.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlano is the perfect home for our second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area,\u201d Augarten said in an official statement. \u201cWe\u2019re building something bigger than breakfast or lunch; we are creating gathering places where fresh, locally sourced food meets genuine hospitality.\u201d<\/p>\n
What Guests Can Expect<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the Plano menu will feature Urban Egg\u2019s signature breakfast and brunch offerings, including billion bourbon bacon, chicken and waffle benedict, house-made cinnamon rolls, gourmet pancakes with gluten-free options and a range of egg-focused dishes. Lunch items will also be available.<\/p>\n
The restaurant also partners with local suppliers whenever possible, emphasizing scratch-made preparation and the use of fresh ingredients, a practice the brand describes as central to how it cooks and serves.<\/p>\n
Supporting The Local Community<\/p>\n
Before opening to the public, Urban Egg hosted a mock run, inviting guests to preview the restaurant. Proceeds from that event will be donated to Minnie\u2019s Food Pantry, a Plano-based nonprofit that provides meals and resources to families, seniors and veterans across North Texas.<\/p>\n
Founder Randy Price said community involvement has been part of the concept since it began.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen my family and I started this brand, it was about more than just serving breakfast,\u201d Price said in an official statement. \u201cIt was about creating a place where people slow down, connect over a great meal and leave feeling like they\u2019re part of something special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Opening Week Details<\/p>\n
From Dec. 15 through Dec. 17, the first 20 seated dine-in tables each day will receive a free Urban Egg travel mug and a year of free coffee, according to the restaurant.<\/p>\n
The 3,137-square-foot Plano restaurant will also include a \u201cwishing wall,\u201d where guests are invited to write hopes, goals or mantras during their visit, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.<\/p>\n
