Autumn will end with record warmth on the South Plains.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Weather today is a near repeat of yesterday, but with a little less of a breeze. The day will be sunny with a few clouds late in the afternoon and evening. Winds will be a little lighter, for most of the area at most times, near to a little less than 10 mph.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Highs Wednesday will be similar to the day before -- well-above average for mid-December.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/ZGJC2FYJV5DYDH77BGKWO6OADA.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"538\" \/>Highs Wednesday will be similar to the day before &#8212; well-above average for mid-December.(KCBD First Alert)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Partly cloudy tonight and not as cold. My forecast lows are at least ten degrees above average for mid-December. Lubbock\u2019s average low for the date is 28\u00b0. A bit of a breeze though, around 10 to 20 mph, from the southwest early gradually shifting to the northwest.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Southwesterly breezes will result in less cooling overnight.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/FS225D2K3JHADDEM2XB6QGFR5E.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"543\" \/>Southwesterly breezes will result in less cooling overnight.(KCBD First Alert)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tomorrow won\u2019t be as warm. Highs, however, will still be five or more degrees above average.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Much above average temperatures return Friday and Saturday. Saturday is the final day of Autumn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There will be a slight drop in temperatures Sunday, the first calendar day of Winter.
