Search warrant! Come out with your hands up,&#8221; as detectives from the Human Trafficking Division swept one illegal parlor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Inside, a sign advertised spa services, and another ironically warned against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/crime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">human trafficking<\/a>. However, it didn\u2019t take long to sense there was something much darker going on. The rooms were disheveled with mattresses, towels and shower beds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/more-than-30-children-rescued-amid-trafficking-operation-major-us-city-expert-warns-growing-crisis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">MORE THAN 30 CHILDREN RESCUED AMID TRAFFICKING OPERATION IN MAJOR US CITY AS EXPERT WARNS OF GROWING CRISIS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Simultaneously, officers raided a second illicit massage parlor minutes away, where a woman was found\u00a0sleeping and there were signs others were living there as well. \u00a0Detectives collected evidence tied to trafficking, including cash and paperwork.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/austin-fin.png\" alt=\"Austin Police Officer\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>An Austin Police Department officer on patrol. Smith\/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>The raids were part of a nationwide crackdown, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">&#8220;Operation Coast to Coat,&#8221;<\/a> involving more than 150 law enforcement agencies across the country, including teams in Texas, North Carolina, California, Missouri and New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The focus was the illicit massage industry, which serves as a major human trafficking hub and moneymaker for Chinese organized crime networks.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/author-california-child-sex-trafficking-bill-forced-exclude-felony-charge-buyers-teen-victims\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">AUTHOR OF CALIFORNIA CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING BILL FORCED TO EXCLUDE FELONY CHARGE FOR BUYERS OF TEEN VICTIMS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, more than 30 people were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/immigration\/enforcement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">arrested or detained<\/a> for trafficking and related charges, and more than 60 victims were rescued and offered services.\u00a0According to officials, the youngest victim was just 14 and was trafficked through escort sites and forced to service more than 10 men a day. Her suspected trafficker was arrested\u00a0during\u00a0the operation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This operation was coordinated by the Human Trafficking Center, the founder\u2019s fourth time bringing various agencies from across the country together.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/austin-police.jpg\" alt=\"Police officers outside a day spa\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>The Austin Police Department participated in a crackdown on illicit massage parlors as part of &#8220;Operation Coast to Coast.&#8221; (Brooke Taylor)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;About\u00a0half of the agencies that we deal with will go after the illicit massage business industry, which is the fastest growing of all trafficking in America,&#8221; Dan Nash, the founder of the Human Trafficking Training Center, said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/crime\/organized-crime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Chinese organized crime<\/a>. And all this is going right back to China. All the money&#8217;s going back to China. The victims are coming over here from China. Most of these states are like, \u2018How are we allowing Chinese organized crime to do all this trafficking in America? Let\u2019s stop it.\u2019 And we are coming together to stop it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lt. John Brooks with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/southwest\/texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Austin Police Department<\/a> emphasized that the work goes\u00a0beyond\u00a0dismantling criminal networks; it\u2019s about recurring victims from exploitation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/sextortion-scams-against-teen-boys-skyrocket-after-covid-watchdog-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">SEXTORTION SCAMS AGAINST TEEN BOYS SKYROCKET AFTER COVID, WATCHDOG SAYS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Quite often, they are victimized, forced, coerced, threatened in some way,&#8221; Lt. Brooks said. &#8220;Their passports withheld, their families threatened, they themselves are threatened or get hooked on some sort of drug.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Brooks said his department takes a victim-centered approach, with on-site victim service counselors. Brooks said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/apps-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A national nonprofit organization, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.safehouseproject.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Safe House Project,<\/a> is also involved in the operation to make sure victims get the help and resources they need. The CEO and founder, Kristi Wells says it served over 1,500 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/crime\/sex-crimes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">human trafficking victims<\/a> last year, and it is on track to serve more than 3,000 victims this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We help survivors as they are looking to exit their trafficking situation, and we help make sure that, in those 10 seconds of insane courage, when they look to escape, that they have the resources that they need to receive all of the care and support to rebuild a life,&#8221; Wells said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We work with the individual to understand their individual situation, and we work to match them with the best safe home in the country that is equipped to meet those individualized needs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Brooke Taylor is a Dallas-based correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC).
