One person is dead and a suspect is at large after an overnight homicide in North Austin. FOX 7 Austin’s Jessica Rivera has more.<\/p>\n

AUSTIN, Texas – A man was arrested for murder after police said he shot a victim in the head in North Austin.<\/p>\n

What we know:<\/p>\n

Austin police say that at around 11:20 p.m. on Dec. 17, Austin 911 received a shoot\/stab hotshot call in the 11900 block of North I-35, in the Braker Lane\/Yager Lane area. The tip said the victim had been shot in the head and the suspects left.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found a man “with very obvious signs of trauma.” He later died at the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n

An investigation showed that the suspect, 30-year-old Quavone Easley, confronted the victim about stealing his bike. He then shot the victim in the head and left.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hours later, Easley was arrested for murder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
