After the miraculous upset of No. 1 Nebraska<\/a> in the Elite Eight, the Texas A&M<\/a> volleyball program is set to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers<\/a> in the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n Led by head coach Jamie Morrison, this season’s ventures have been filled with historic moments and memories that will last in Aggie lore forever. With their eyes set on reaching the program’s first national championship appearance, the Aggies<\/a> have another massive challenge if they want to make more history. The Panthers defeated No. 12 Purdue to play Texas A&M in the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament and are now faced with an opportunity to break through and capture their first national title.<\/p>\n Pitt leads the Aggies in hit percentage, opponent hit percentage, aces per set and blocks per set, while the Maroon and White hold the advantage in kills per set, assists per set and digs per set. Texas A&M’s experienced leaders, like Logan Lednicky, who moved to fourth in program history in career-kills, will play an integral role in the team’s success on the court on Thursday. Texas A&M is hitting .361 as a unit so far.<\/p>\n Pitt’s 5-0 scoring run puts them ahead of Texas A&M, 12-11, in the second frame<\/p>\n The Panthers are firing on all cylinders, due in large part to Olivia Babcock’s 12 kills in the match. Pitt leads the Aggies by a point, as Morrison calls a timeout.<\/p>\n Aggies hold a 10-6 lead over Pitt in the second set<\/p>\n Cos-Okpalla’s third block of the match secured Texas A&M a four-point lead over Pitt in the second frame. Stowers has double-digit kills, two digs and one block in the contest.<\/p>\n SET 1: Texas A&M 29 | Pitt 27<\/p>\n Stowers closes out the first set, as the Aggies take a 1-0 match lead over the Panthers. She leads the team with nine kills, while Lednicky and Cos-Okpalla have five and three kills, respectively.<\/p>\n Pitt leads Texas A&M 27-26 in the closing moments of Set 1<\/p>\n The Panthers have taken the lead over the Aggies in a back-and-forth battle for the first-set victory.<\/p>\n Aggies and Panthers tied 21-21 in the first set<\/p>\n An outstanding challenge call and Stowers’ kill had Texas A&M ahead of Pitt 21-19, but the Panthers continue to battle the Maroon and White for the lead in Kansas City.<\/p>\n Texas A&M leading Pitt 12-9 early in the first frame<\/p>\n Kyndal Stowers continues her dominance on the court in the Final Four matchup against the Panthers, as she leads the Aggies with four kills and one block so far.
