{"id":94078,"date":"2025-12-19T12:23:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-19T12:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/94078\/"},"modified":"2025-12-19T12:23:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-19T12:23:08","slug":"university-celebrates-unified-state-employee-charitable-campaign-contributing-485k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/94078\/","title":{"rendered":"University celebrates unified State Employee Charitable Campaign, contributing $485K"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the midst of a milestone year marked by a historic merger, UT San Antonio employees from across the academic and health campuses came together to raise over $485,000 for the <a href=\"https:\/\/secc.utsa.edu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The impact of this accomplishment was widespread \u2014 the dollars raised were shared across 300 charitable organizations, and over 1,800 individual employees participated in the annual fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>Causes supported by employees saw broad participation across the entire university.<\/p>\n<p>The San Antonio Food Bank proved to be employees\u2019 top selection, receiving over $40,000 in donations.<\/p>\n<p>Six participating internal initiatives also saw strong support, including the Roadrunner Food Pantry, Chromosome 18 Registry, First-Gen &amp; Transfer Student Programs, Fostering Futures Program, and Staff Emergency Funds.<\/p>\n<p>UT San Antonio has participated in the SECC since 1997 and is the largest donor in the region.
