A fatal shooting at a North Arlington bar led to the arrest of Daniel Munoz for murder and Karina Fuentes for interference.<\/p>\n
ARLINGTON, Texas \u2014 A man and woman were arrested Friday in connection with a fatal shooting in North Arlington, according to police.<\/p>\n
The Arlington Police Department (APD) said officers responded at approximately 1:50 a.m. Friday to a bar in the 1000 block of Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard for a shooting. When officers got to the scene, they found a 33-year-old man lying unresponsive on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not released.<\/p>\n
According to APD, witnesses told officers the shooter was in a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers located the vehicle and detained 31-year-old Daniel Munoz, APD said. A gun was recovered in the back seat of the vehicle, APD said.<\/p>\n
Police said officers were told by multiple witnesses that Munoz and the victim got into a verbal argument outside that escalated and ended with Munoz firing multiple shots at the victim. Munoz told officers he acted in self defense, according to police.<\/p>\n
Arlington police said Munoz was initially charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon for bringing a firearm into a bar, but after further investigation, and in consultation with the Tarrant County District Attorney\u2019s Office, homicide detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on one count of murder.<\/p>\n
A woman who was the in the vehicle with Munoz, 32-year-old Karina Fuentes, was also arrested and charged with Interference with Public Duties, due to her actions while officers attempted to detain Munoz, according to APD.<\/p>\n
