\t\t\t\tOn Oct. 20, early voting begins for Northeast San Antonio voters in Bexar and Guadalupe counties.<\/p>\n
Early voting hours in both counties are at the following times from Oct. 20 through Oct. 31 for the Nov. 4 election.<\/p>\n
Oct. 20-Oct. 24: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. for Guadalupe, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. for BexarOct. 25: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.Oct. 26: noon-6 p.m.Oct. 27-Oct.31: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.Bexar County’s main early voting location<\/a> will be at the county\u2019s elections department building at 1103 S. Frio in San Antonio. Northeast San Antonio residents can vote at places including Northeast Lakeview College<\/a> and the Universal City Library.<\/p>\n “><\/p>\n Guadalupe County voters can vote at the elections office at 3251 State Hwy 123 in Seguin, or at one of seven other locations<\/a>, including Cibolo Fire Station No. 2.<\/p>\n “><\/p>\n Voters should bring an approved form of identification to the polls. A list of acceptable identification can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n On the ballot<\/p>\n Bexar County, Schertz, Cibolo, Judson ISD and Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD have items on the Nov. 4 ballot.<\/p>\n Bexar County has both Proposition A and Proposition B up for a vote. Proposition A would authorize the county to improve the Freeman Coliseum for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo by increasing the hotel occupancy tax by up to 2% and using the existing 5% tax on short-term vehicle rentals.<\/p>\n Proposition B would authorize the county to build or renovate a new arena for the San Antonio Spurs and other events. If approved, they will increase the hotel occupancy tax by 2% to a total of 17% and apply a 5% tax on rental vehicles.<\/p>\n Both Northeast San Antonio school districts have voter-approval tax rate election, or VATRE, propositions.<\/p>\n The SCUCISD measure<\/a> calls for an increase in the district\u2019s property tax rate to $1.1969 per $100 valuation, while the JISD proposition<\/a> would increase its rate to $1.0796 per $100.<\/p>\n According to previous reporting by Community Impact, the SCUCISD VATRE is to secure funding for a list of deferred projects and future teacher raises.
