{"id":96828,"date":"2025-12-22T06:25:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T06:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/96828\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T06:25:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T06:25:09","slug":"high-point-tennis-center-names-center-court-after-longtime-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/96828\/","title":{"rendered":"High Point Tennis Center names center court after longtime director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plano.gov\/1345\/Mayor-and-City-Council\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Plano City Council<\/a> unanimously voted to name the center court at <a href=\"https:\/\/highpointtennis.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">High Point Tennis Center<\/a> the Ken Sumrow Center Court in honor of longtime director Ken Sumrow at a Dec. 16 meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The backstory<\/p>\n<p>Sumrow has directed the High Point Tennis Center since its establishment in 1977, and is retiring this year after 48 years of service.
