{"id":97691,"date":"2025-12-22T22:26:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T22:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/97691\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T22:26:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T22:26:09","slug":"grand-parkway-wrong-way-crash-victims-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/97691\/","title":{"rendered":"Grand Parkway wrong-way crash: Victims identified"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas &#8211; Fort Bend County authorities have shared the names of the three family members killed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox26houston.com\/news\/grand-parkway-wrong-way-crash-fort-bend-county-family-killed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">crash over the weekend on Grand Parkway<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>   Grand Parkway wrongway crash: Victims identified <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KRIV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">What we know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Officials responded to a crash at about 2 a.m. Saturday on SH-99 near FM 1464.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">A family of four were driving north on the highway when they were struck by a vehicle that was allegedly going south in the northbound lanes.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Authorities say a woman and a girl died at the scene, and a man was pronounced dead at a hospital.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, the deceased victims are 27-year-old Lizbeth Rodriguez Contreras, 26-year-old Diego Pena Jr., and 5-year-old Camila Pena.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">A three-year-old boy in the vehicle and the alleged wrong-way driver were also hospitalized for their injuries. Authorities say both are expected to recover.<\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KRIV\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">What we don&#8217;t know:<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">Authorities are not naming the surviving victim.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">The suspect driver has not been identified at this time. The sheriff&#8217;s office only says the suspect is a 28-year-old woman.<\/p>\n<p data-v-6c8e215c=\"\">The circumstances behind the crash are under investigation.
