{"id":98007,"date":"2025-12-23T03:24:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T03:24:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/98007\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T03:24:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T03:24:09","slug":"san-antonio-native-selected-as-next-dean-of-yale-law-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/98007\/","title":{"rendered":"San Antonio native selected as next dean of Yale Law School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">SAN ANTONIO \u2013 Yale professor Cristina Rodr\u00edguez was selected as Yale Law School\u2019s next dean, becoming the second woman to hold the position at the school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Rodr\u00edguez, a San Antonio native, will assume the role on Feb. 1, 2026, as she continues nearly 25 years in academia and law.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Previously, Rodr\u00edguez had already made history as the first tenured Hispanic professor at Yale Law School.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Rodr\u00edguez joined the faculty of her alma mater in 2013 and has focused on constitutional and immigration law.
