EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 The Texas Board of Nursing sent out an alert regarding a woman who has been allegedly impersonating a nurse in El Paso and Las Cruces.<\/p>\n

According to the Texas Board of Nursing’s Quarterly bulletin, a woman who goes by the name of Margarita Gonzalez or Margarita Gonzales or Margaritta Gonzales, allegedly tried to practice as a Registered Nurse at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation and AVIR at Patriot in El Paso while using license numbers and names belonging to nurses with similar names in February 2025. <\/p>\n

The board reportedly caught wind of the situation after the two facilities reported that the names, addresses, date of birth and social security numbers did not match. <\/p>\n

While the alleged imposter did not work with patients in El Paso, the board warns that she did, in fact, work as a Registered Nurse at the Las Cruces Wellness and Rehab with the bogus documents. <\/p>\n

According to the board, she worked directly with patients from February to May 2025.<\/p>\n

The board said the case has been referred to the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office and the Las Cruces 3rd Judicial District Court. <\/p>\n
