\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCedar Park will contribute to a regional project to expand wastewater treatment capacity with some neighboring cities in the coming months.<\/p>\n
What happened<\/p>\n
Council approved an interlocal agreement<\/a> to design the expansion and rehab of about 11,500 linear feet of a wastewater interceptor running parallel to Brushy Creek in Round Rock on Dec. 18.<\/p>\n The contract is only for the design of the project and will be funded by the city’s utility capital improvement program budget for the 2025-26 financial year.<\/p>\n About the project<\/p>\n The expansion will provide additional capacity to service the growing population of Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System partner cities of Austin, Cedar Park, Leander and Round Rock.<\/p>\n As a partner city, Cedar Park will fund a 17.7% share in the project design.
