Is it just me, or is Paige Bueckers awfully good at manifesting? Just last month, the WNBA star told Self that, out of all the celebrities in the world, her dream guests to sit courtside at a Dallas Wings game would be Ellen Pompeo and Shemar Moore. Last night at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena, half her wish came true.
This meeting of the minds came together pretty fast. After Bueckers revealed she wanted Moore to attend one of her games, he reposted the clip from Self on Instagram and promised to come see her soon. “Ayyeee @paigebueckers 👀 I see you and I heard you Baby Girl!!!!” he wrote. “You never know when your boy might show up and HOLLA your name at one of your games.”
Moore sat courtside Wednesday night with his daughter, Frankie, and her mother, Jesiree Dizon. The Criminal Minds actor must have been a good-luck charm, too, because Bueckers tallied 44 points against the Los Angeles Sparks, the most points in a single game by a rookie in the WNBA’s history.
Afterward, the two were able to meet face-to-face in the tunnel for the first time. Bueckers posed for photos with Moore and his daughter after her record-breaking game, telling him, “You’re my favorite, bro.”
I’m happy for Bueckers being able to live out her lifelong dream of meeting Moore. Ellen Pompeo, you’re next.
