New details about Tramell Tillman‘s Spider-Man: Brand New Day character have been revealed following his casting in the Marvel/Sony movie.

Who is Tramell Tillman not playing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Immediately after Tillman’s casting was reported, fans began to theorize who the Severance and Mission: Impossible actor could be playing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Norman Osborn and Kang the Conqueror quickly emerging as the two most popular picks. A few fans also wondered if Tillman might be playing Tombstone, who in the comics is depicted as an albino crime boss with filed teeth.

However, according to trusted scooper Apocalyptic Horseman on X, Tillman will not be playing Tombstone in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The scooper also shared that while the actor will appear in the movie as a villain, he won’t be the “main villain.” So far, the only confirmed villain in Brand New Day is Michael Mando’s Scorpion, who hasn’t been seen in the MCU since 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

I heard he’s not Tombstone btw!

Spider-Man: Brand New Day remains shrouded in mystery, despite filming on the MCU sequel having been underway for almost a month now. New cast additions have offered some clues, though, as both Mark Ruffalo’s The Hulk and Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher are confirmed to appear in Brand New Day, with Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova also rumored to be joining the action. This implies that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will cross paths with several other heroes during his next solo movie, which Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has shared will be a grounded, street-level adventure featuring the fan-favorite webslinger.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which has a screenplay written by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, who have so far scripted all of Holland’s Spider-Man movies. The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters by Sony on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
