UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State men’s basketball team unveiled its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, which features seven home games inside the Jordan Center, trips to Philadelphia, Hershey and Connecticut.
The Nittany Lions officially open the schedule on Monday, Nov. 3, at home when Penn State hosts Fairfield. Penn State will travel for its first true road game of the year on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Nittany Lions visit New Haven.
The Nittany Lions return home on Tuesday, Nov. 11, for a Veteran’s Day matchup with a Navy squad that is coming off a Patriot League Tournament championship game appearance a season ago.
Penn State then heads to the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday, Nov. 15, to face La Salle in a college basketball doubleheader inside Xfinity Mobile Arena, the home of the Philadelphia 76ers. Tickets are on sale here.
The Nittany Lions return home on Wednesday, Nov. 19, to face Harvard. Penn State will then travel to Uncasville, Conn. on Saturday, Nov. 22, for the Hall of Fame Showcase where the Nittany Lions will take on Providence inside of Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Nittany Lions then head back to Happy Valley to kick off a three-game homestand that features games against Boston University (Tuesday, Nov. 25), Sacred Heart (Saturday, Nov. 29) and Campbell (Tuesday, Dec. 2). Before Christmas, Penn State will play Pitt at the Giant Center in Hershey on Sunday, Dec. 21. Following a brief break for the holidays, Penn State wraps up non-conference play on Monday, Dec. 29, when the Nittany Lions host North Carolina Central.
SFU hires assistants
LORETTO — Saint Francis University men’s basketball head coach Luke McConnell announced the additions of Tanner Massey and Kyle Polce to his coaching staff.
Massey comes to Loretto with 15 years of experience in the NBA G League, FIBA, NCAA, NAIA, and the high school level. He was the head coach at Atlantic Collegiate Academy High School in South Carolina last season, leading the team to a South Carolina State title with a 24-3 overall record and an 11-1 conference mark.
Polce comes to Saint Francis after graduating from the University of South Carolina Beaufort in December 2024. Polce played two seasons with USCB and helped the team to the Peach Belt Championship Game in the program’s second season. He was a two-year starter and team captain.
Pitt names captains
PITTSBURGH– Pitt Panther football coach Pat Narduzzi announced the five Panthers who will serve as team captains for the 2025 season on Friday.
They are redshirt senior offensive lineman Lyndon Cooper, redshirt junior linebacker Kyle Louis, redshirt senior defensive back Javon McIntyre, sixth-year tight end Jake Overman, and senior running back Desmond Reid.
The captains were selected by a vote of their teammates. This marks Pitt’s first season with five captains since 2013.
