Plane crash in Baldwin County

A twin-engine plane crashed on the 900 block of Nelson Road in Baldwin County at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, according to Baldwin County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Bradley Towe.
The pilot and a dog were on board.
Towe said that investigators with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are en route to Baldwin County.
The crash happened about three-quarters of a mile to 1 mile off of Nelson Road. Nelson Road is located off of Ga. Highway 212.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
