President Donald Trump will attend the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black next month, he announced on Saturday.

“It will be a great Ryder Cup. At the invite of the PGA Tour, I will be there on Tournament Friday!!!,” he wrote in a Truth Social post on Saturday night.

Held every two years, the three-day men’s golf tournament features top players divided into European and U.S. teams. In 2023, the competition was hosted in Rome, Italy. From Sept. 26 to 28, it will be hosted on the famed Black Course at Bethpage State Park.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said on a podcast in June that he had encouraged Trump to attend the tournament on Long Island this year.

“He’s a tremendous golf supporter and player … I have seen him play. He has a great swing,” Blakeman said at the time.

In a statement on Sunday, Blakeman wrote: “We are honored President Trump will be in Nassau County for the Ryder Cup.”
