Mathews was released from jail after posting his $270,000 bond on the local charges.He was arrested by federal agents on the federal charges Monday. According to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, Montianez Merriweather, 34, has been charged with illegally possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon.Merriweather was arrested late last month for his alleged role in the violent downtown brawl.According to investigators, Merriweather illegally had a pistol on July 2, which he was prohibited from doing as a convicted felon.Videos of the fight have been shared hundreds of thousands of times on social media, creating outrage nationwide and a reaction from city leaders and politicians.So far, eight people have been charged in connection to the brawl.
