Wire 3, a fiber optic internet provider based in Florida will be building a high-speed network in Leesburg as well as Eustis, Mount Dora and Tavares. Wire 3 has received private funding of $100 million to build the network. Most Leesburg residents have internet access through cable or DSL services.

Wire 3 will offer three plans. with speeds of one gigabyte per second (Gps) in the Ascent package for $60 per month, the Orbit package with speeds of 2.5 Gps for $80 per month and the Warp Speed package with 10 Gps for $99 per month. New customers will receive free installation as well as a Wifi router. The company has pledged that there will be no surprise add on charges to their customers who will have access to their Florida based service department.
