Carlos Alcaraz won 80 percent of his service points against Reilly Opelka and didn’t lose a break point, essential in order to dispatch the big American with a powerful serve of his own. Here’s Carlos:
💬 “Today was a really difficult one. A really tough player with that serve. I couldn’t get the rhythm that I wanted to get in the match, but really happy with everything I’ve done today.
“You just have to be focused, put as much return as you can in, try to be in the rally, try to play and win the points that he lets you when you play from the baseline. It’s really difficult playing against someone that doesn’t let you play your game.”
And yes, he spoke on the haircut…
