TROY, NY (WRGB) — The City of Troy has issued a boil water advisory for residents and businesses from

The areas affected are from Douw Street to 7th Avenue, Middleburgh Street to 7th Avenue, 6th Avenue and Middleburgh Street to Hoosick Street, and Orr Street to Ingalls Avenue to 7th Avenue.

Affected residences and businesses are advised to bring all water to a boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, and use bottled water as an alternative when possible.

This advisory is being issued out of an abundance of caution to protect public health. Crews are actively working to complete repairs and restore service as quickly and safely as possible. Residents will be notified when the advisory has been lifted and it is safe to resume normal water use. The city thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
