Journalists supporting “journalists.”
The Entertainment Weekly team gathered on Tuesday to celebrate the Sept. 4 premiere of Peacock’s new workplace comedy The Paper, which is an expansion of the The Office universe and currently graces the cover of EW’s Fall TV Preview issue.
“We at Entertainment Weekly are so thrilled every year to put together our Fall TV Preview. We know that it is so many people’s television bible every year, and what to put on the cover is always a big decision,” EW editor-in-chief Patrick Gomez told the crowd gathered in the penthouse of the London West Hollywood yesterday.
“And it is rare that there is a show that has a built-in prestige fanbase like this one does but also is actually very funny and very good and so worthy of being on the cover,” he continued. “We are thrilled to be here today on behalf of People Inc. and Entertainment Weekly to celebrate The Paper, our Fall TV Preview, and all of the success that you all will have when this hits on Peacock.”
