As the calendar heads toward September, it is time to once again start thinking about Milwaukee Bucks basketball. This should be a fascinating campaign as the Bucks look drastically different heading into the 2025-26 season.

After suffering a torn left Achilles tendon in the Bucks’ first-round series against the Indiana Pacers, nine-time All-Star Damian Lillard was not going to be on the floor for the Bucks to start the season.

So Bucks general manager Jon Horst opted to make a drastic decision: Milwaukee waived Lillard and stretched his salary over the next five seasons. That bold move helped the Bucks create the cap space needed to make the summer’s biggest free-agent signing: former Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner, stealing one of the best players from their division rivals and reigning Eastern Conference champions.

While the move dramatically changed the Bucks’ roster, it is difficult to project the team to finish at the top of the Eastern Conference with the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks, who bring back nearly identical rosters to the ones that won 64 games and 51 games, respectively, last season. For the first time since the 2018-19 season, when Giannis Antetokounmpo was first a serious contender for the NBA MVP, the Bucks will not be viewed as a contender to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.

But what do Bucks fans think about their team heading into the 2025-26 season?

To figure that out, we are again asking fans to respond to our annual Bucks fan survey. This year’s version has some of the questions that have been featured in previous years to give us a chance to compare the feelings of fans heading into this season directly against their feelings from previous seasons, as well as some new ones to figure out what fans expect from Turner, who they want in the starting lineup and how they feel about the future of the franchise.

We will give you until the end of the day Tuesday here in Milwaukee before we start tabulating the results and breaking down your answers next week. A project like this cannot be completed without your input, so in advance, we’d like to thank you for reading, commenting and engaging with our Bucks content here at The Athletic.
