WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary men’s basketball coach Brian Earl announced the Tribe’s 2025 non-conference schedule on Thursday. The ledger includes four home games, two road contests against NCAA Tournament participants from last season, and a trip to compete in the Jacksonville Classic in November.
 

The Tribe’s home ledger includes contests against in-state foes Old Dominion (Nov. 30) and Radford (Dec. 18). W&M opens the 2025-26 season at home against Division II opponent Georgian Court on Monday, Nov. 3. The Tribe’s final home match-up will be against Regent on Friday, Nov. 21.
 

W&M’s road schedule includes a trip of a pair of NCAA Tournament participants from last season in St. John’s (Nov. 15) and Norfolk State (Nov. 8) and travel to a trio of Atlantic 10 foes in Richmond (Nov. 11), Duquesne (Dec. 2), and George Washington (Dec. 6). The Tribe will also take part in the Jacksonville Classic (Nov. 24-25) along with Horizon League finalist Youngstown State, Georgia Southern, and Abilene Christian.
 

Including its three potential opponents in the Jacksonville Classic, W&M’s DI opponents in 2025-26 averaged 18.4 wins and boasted a 54.9 winning % last season. 
 

After the home opener, W&M hits the road for four-straight games, including a pair against conference champions from last season. The Tribe meets MEAC Champion Norfolk State for the fifth-straight season on Nov. 8.
 

The Tribe heads to Richmond on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The series is W&M’s most played rivalry, featuring 204 games and dating back to 1912. The teams meet for the fourth-straight year as Tribe upended the Spiders, 93-87, in Williamsburg last season.
 

W&M’s trip to St. John’s on Nov. 15 will the program’s first since 2011. The Red Storm won the BIG EAST last season and have been ranked No. 1 in the country in some preseason polls.  The Green and Gold wraps up the road stretch with its first game at Bowling Green since 1949 on Nov. 19.
 
The Tribe returns home to take on Regent, a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) program from Virginia Beach, on Friday, Nov. 21.
 

W&M will take part in the Jacksonville Classic on Nov. 24-25. The schedule for the event will be released at a later time.  

Two of the Tribe’s final four nonconference games will be at home against in-state foes. W&M hosts rival Old Dominion on Sunday, Nov. 30, as the teams meet for the 53rd consecutive year. The Green and Gold’s final nonconference home game will be against Radford on Thursday, Dec. 18. It will be the teams fifth meeting in the last eight seasons, and the first inside Kaplan since a 62-51 Tribe win in 2022.

 

W&M heads to Duquesne for the first time since 2018 on Tuesday, Dec. 2, before traveling to George Washington for the third time in six seasons on Saturday, Dec. 6. The game vs. the Revolutionaries will be the Smith Center’s 50th Anniversary Celebration where the Tribe picked up an 85-84 overtime win in 2020.

 

The CAA announced its 2025-26 schedule on Aug. 19. The Tribe opens the 18-game league slate with back-to-back home games against Towson on Dec. 29 and Stony Brook on Dec. 31. 

 

In its first season under head coach Brian Earl, the Tribe enjoyed one of the top turnarounds in the country, finishing with a 17-15 record. The 17 wins rank 12th in program history, while the Tribe produced 11 CAA wins for just the fifth time. W&M debuted a new style of play featuring a fast-paced tempo. The Green and Gold ranked among the national leaders in tempo, 3-point shooting, scoring, and assists.

 

W&M returns seven players from last season, including five seniors in Chase Lowe, Kyle Frazier, Kyle Pulliam, Miles Hicks, and Finn Lally. The Tribe added eight players over the off-season, including transfers Jhei-R Jones (Winona State), Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi (LaSalle),  Kilian Brockhoff (Saint Louis), Cade Haskins (Dartmouth), Jo’el Emanuel (Fairleigh Dickinson), Reese Miller (Blinn Community College), and Ethan Connery (Casper College).
