Real Betis are making one final push to re-sign Antony from Manchester United.
After a successful loan spell at Real Betis, Antony returned to Manchester United earlier this summer.
Antony was among five United players to be exiled by Ruben Amorim ahead of pre-season, and he has trained alone at Carrington while his entourage worked on a route out of Old Trafford.
The Brazil international has flopped at United since becoming the club’s third-most expensive signing ever when he cost £82 million following a transfer from Ajax three years ago.
Amorim decided to enhance his attacking department with new signings such as Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko rather than welcome Antony back into United’s first team.
With the transfer window shutting on Monday, it remains to be seen if Antony will secure a move away from United before the deadline.

Manuel Pellegrini helped get the best out of Antony during the second half of last season.
Antony had a big impact in transforming Betis’ season – moving from ninth in La Liga to sixth and securing a place in the Europa League.
The 25-year-old will be eager to play a role in Betis’ Europa League campaign, but that will depend on whether the Spanish club can reach an agreement with United before deadline day.
Respected transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano believes Antony to Betis is a “concrete” deal and that the two clubs will hold one more meeting to try reach an agreement.
“Antony is also leaving. The negotiations with Real Betis is reaching final, crucial stages,” Romano said.
“There were reports a few days ago of a deal already done and agreed between Man United and Betis was not true.
“They are negotiating again today. One more meeting – Man United and Betis to try and reach the agreement for Antony. Betis are pushing like crazy, putting all their efforts. Their director, CEO and all of the people at the club are pushing and pushing to reach an agreement for Antony. They want Antony back.
“Negotiation is underway and Betis are working hard to sign Antony. This is a really concrete deal.”
Real Betis are missing Antony
Since the start of the 2025/26 La Liga season, Betis have managed five points from their first three matches.
It’s not a bad return, but the La Liga outfit has managed to score just one goal in each of their matches.
That suggests Betis are missing Antony’s firepower in attack.
Sadly, Antony was unable to show his firepower in the Premier League when he appeared for United.
