Amazfit has confirmed that the Balance 2 XT smartwatch is coming to Europe. Rumors about this wearable began earlier this year, and it has since become available to purchase in the US at retailer Best Buy.
Now, Amazfit has informed Notebookcheck that it will sell the Balance 2 XT smartwatch at its online stores in Spain and Italy. According to the company, customers in other European countries will be able to get the product shipped to their location, though the shipping cost in this case is unclear. The European release date and pricing have yet to be announced. However, one retailer lists it for €189.91; in the US, it retails for $199.99.
The Balance 2 XT is a cheaper alternative to the original Balance 2 smartwatch, which was released earlier this year. It has a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, protected by mineral glass. Users can log their exercise with over 170 sports modes, and track health metrics like heart rate, blood oxygen level, sleep quality and stress. It should also offer GPS navigation, downloadable maps and a run time of around 21 days.Â
There are several differences between the standard and XT versions of the Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). These include the replacement of sapphire glass with mineral glass. The XT does not have the Golf app and will not support diving as it has a lower water resistance rating of 5 ATM. It remains to be seen when the Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch will officially launch in the US.
