2 deputies shot in Walton, Kentucky, suspect barricaded

Two Boone County deputies are injured after being shot in Walton, Kentucky, on Thursday night, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said.The scene is at Towne Creek Crossing Apartments on Service Road, behind a Kroger. Police were first called to the scene around 10 p.m.The sheriff’s office said that the two deputies are both stable. One of the officers was shot in the chest and the other was shot in the leg, sources said.The deputies were called to the scene initially to serve an arrest warrant before a suspect opened fire.Police said the suspect is barricaded and SWAT is actively working to take the suspect into custody.
