Arsenal have been one of the busiest clubs in the world in the transfer market recently.

The Gunners have completed three very good signings already — Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. Noni Madueke is about to become Arsenal’s fourth signing of this window.

Arsenal are also closing in on deals to sign Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera, potentially making it six new signings before their pre-season tour of Asia.

Andrea Berta deserves a lot of praise, but the Italian still has a lot to do with outgoings over the next six weeks.

One player Arsenal would’ve loved to sell can’t be sold in this window.

Arsenal are disappointed because they can’t sell Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus has been at Arsenal for three years now.

The Brazilian had an incredible start to life as a Gunner. He hit the ground running at the Emirates, and many people felt that Arsenal’s striker issues were solved.

However, Jesus picked up an injury during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and he just hasn’t been the same since.

Arsenal would’ve liked to move Jesus on in this window, but the former Manchester City man suffered a serious knee injury that is likely to keep him out of action until the final quarter of this year.

Sami Mokbel has now claimed that there is ‘disappointment’ at Arsenal that they will not be able to sell Jesus in this window and probably not even in January next year.

The BBC journalist said on the Latte Firm: “I don’t think Gabriel Jesus’ future can be resolved any time soon because of the serious knee injury that he sustained in January.

“I think there is some disappointment at Arsenal because I do believe that he was a player they believed they could sell and make good money on. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen.

“That probably isn’t going to happen in January either because he would just be coming back from that long-term injury. The nearest opportunity Arsenal will have to part with or listen to offers for Gabriel Jesus will be this time next summer.”

Jesus had to undergo surgery on his knee after hurting himself during a game against Manchester United earlier this year.

The Brazilian has been out of action since and is not expected to return anytime soon. But he is making progress behind the scenes.

Jesus has shared pictures and videos of himself working hard in the gym in recent weeks, but he has now posted a couple of photos of himself back on the grass on Instagram.

The Arsenal number nine has also posted a video of himself on his Instagram Story, where he can be seen kicking a ball towards goal.

That’s a positive sign, but it’s still extremely unlikely that Jesus will be fit enough to play any game early next season.
