The final major of the PGA Tour season begins on Thursday, July 17, as the 2025 Open Championship takes place from Royal Portrush Golf Club. It will be the third time the course hosts The Open and also the third time the British Open takes place in Northern Ireland. Recent champions include Xander Schauffele, Cameron Smith and Collin Morikawa, as well as Shane Lowry, who won the last time Royal Portrush played host (2019). However, it’s World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who is the +450 betting favorite, according to the latest 2025 Open Championship odds.

Rory McIlroy, a native of Northern Ireland, comes in at +700. McIlroy is coming off a T-2 finish at the Scottish Open and is +140 to finish inside the top five at Royal Portrush. Jon Rahm (+1200), Bryson DeChambeau (+2000) and Schauffele (+2500) are among the other favorites. U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun (+9000) and Scottish Open winner Chris Gotterup (+10000) are PGA longshots to consider in 2025 Open Championship bets.

Before locking in your 2025 Open Championship picks, you NEED to see the golf predictions and 2025 Open Championship projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up over $8,500 on its best bets since June 2020, nailing tournament after tournament.

Now, with the 2025 Open Championship field locked in, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising.

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Open Championship 2025: Rory McIlroy, a five-time major champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles this week and falls outside the top three! Another surprise: Tyrrell Hatton, a 30-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He’s a target for anyone looking for a HUGE payday!

Also, the model is targeting FOUR other golfers with odds of 28-1 or longer who will make a strong run at the title, including a MASSIVE 50-1 longshot! Anyone who backs these golfers could hit it BIG. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who they are before locking in any 2025 Open Championship picks!
