TBR Football understand Crystal Palace have quickly completed another signing after Yeremy Pino – beating Aston Villa to the deal.

After many public requests from Oliver Glasner to bolster the squad, Steve Parish has listened.

Pino has arrived at Crystal Palace from Villarreal in a deal which could surpass £40m if bonuses are triggered, with the Spain international taking the No.10 shirt vacated by Eberechi Eze.

Pino was actually signed in time to face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent for TBR Football – now states that Crystal Palace have also beaten Aston Villa to the signing of Jaydee Canvot.

Exclusive: Crystal Palace fended off Aston Villa and AC Milan to sign Jaydee Canvot

We understand the 19-year-old is now heading to Selhurst Park from Toulouse in a deal worth £25m, and he was not short of admirers.

Sources claim that BlueCo – owners of Chelsea – Aston Villa and the City Football Group held talks to sign Canvot, while the teenager also had interest from AC Milan, Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen.

The central defender is viewed as a potential star of the future in France.

Jaydee Canvot had a solid breakout season.

Athletic CB/DM with good recovery pace, reads the game well and a physical dueller. Aggressive defending style, defends big spaces effectively and commanding in his duels.

Canvot is set to sign a five-year contract with Crystal Palace and is pencilled in for a medical, which will take place in the coming hours.

TBR Football have been told Crystal Palace do see the France U20 international as a player capable of replacing Marc Guehi – who Liverpool are in talks to sign – but the signing from Toulouse will happen regardless of whether the England international stays or goes.

Crystal Palace exact a bit of revenge on Aston Villa after Evann Guessand hijack

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have clearly been keeping an eye on Ligue 1 this summer, as there was another player in France both wanted.

TBR Football understand Crystal Palace and Aston Villa both wanted to buy Evann Guessand from OGC Nice, but it was the Villans who carried out a late hijack and signed the Ivory Coast international in a £30m move.

That would have been a bitter blow for Glasner at the time, but Canvot is regarded as a top prospect around Europe.

Therefore, Crystal Palace can take satisfaction from beating Aston Villa to his signature.
