There is a WNBA doubleheader lined up for Friday, Aug. 29 that starts with the Atlanta Dream hosting the Dallas Wings at the Gateway Center in College Park, Ga.

The Dream are coming off an 81-75 loss to the Las Vegas Aces in a battle for second in the standings. Now at 24-14, Atlanta sits in third, tied with the Phoenix Mercury, half a game ahead of the New York Liberty, and a game behind the Aces. The team is hoping point guard Jordin Canada returns soon with the playoffs right around the corner and a run to the Finals still on the table.
The Wings are not going to the postseason this year, but are playing to determine their chances in the draft lottery. Dallas is 9-30 and riding a six-game losing streak that featured rookie Paige Bueckers going for 44 points in one of the losses. The Wings’ last game was a 101-95 loss to the Connecticut Sun where rookie Aziaha James led the team with 22 points.
