Indiana women’s basketball hosted Gigi Battle, one of the top small forwards in the class of 2026, for an official visit this past Thursday, according to Brandon Clay of 247Sports:
The other programs set to receive visits from Battle are NC State, Georgia and Big Ten rival Iowa, as Clay notes in his post above. That’s pretty stiff competition with both the Hawkeyes and Wolfpack having made Final Four appearances in the past few years.
Indiana is undergoing something of a program reload under Teri Moren. The Hoosiers saw plenty of names enter the transfer portal this past offseason and had to bring in multiple transfers to replace that lost production. Only one member of Indiana’s 2025-26 roster, Shay Ciezki, herself a former transfer, logged significant minutes for the Hoosiers last season.
The program also welcomed assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Colsten Thompson into the fold this offseason, replacing Linda Sayavongchanh.
