WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary women’s basketball head coach, Erin Dickerson Davis, announced the squad’s 2025-26 non-conference schedule on Thursday.

The Tribe will use the non-league slate as preparation to defend its 2025 CAA championship, the first in program history, resulting in an NCAA Tournament berth.

W&M’s season will begin with a trip to Davidson on Nov. 6, the first meeting between the Tribe and the Wildcats since 2018 and the eighth all-time. The Green and Gold holds a 5-2 advantage in the series but will be looking for just its second ever win at Davidson.

The Tribe’s home slate begins with a three game homestand, starting with Barton on Nov. 9 before hosting local rivals Richmond and Old Dominion on Nov. 12 and Nov. 20 respectively.

W&M and Richmond will be squaring off for the 118th time, the second longest series in Tribe history, while the ODU game will be the 101st meeting, good for third longest in the record books.

The Spiders and Monarchs are two of three repeat opponents from a year ago in W&M’s non-conference slate, with the third being at Howard on Nov. 23.

The trip to the nation’s capital to play the Bison begins a four-game road trip for the Tribe, traveling to Tennessee State on Nov. 29 and Wake Forest (Dec. 3) before returning to D.C. to play American on Dec. 7.

W&M’s trip to play Wake Forest will be a homecoming of sorts for Davis and associate head coach, Dane Sparrow. Davis spent a pair of seasons on the Demon Deacons staff before coming to Williamsburg, while Sparrow spent seven seasons on the sidelines as an assistant in Winston Salem.

Fans last chance to catch the Tribe at Kaplan Arena in the non-conference will be on Dec. 13 when Coppin State comes to town.

W&M will conclude non-league action in DeLand, Fla. playing in a multi-team event hosted by Stetson on Dec. 19-20. The Tribe will take on the hosting Hatters on the 19th before either playing Stonehill or Bethune Cookman the following day.
