Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, A Minecraft Movie, The LEGO Movie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Croods: A New Age, 21/22 Jump Street) has been tapped to score Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature Hoppers. The film is directed by Daniel Chong (We Bare Bears) and features the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm. The movie takes place in a world, in which scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals . Nicole Paradis Grindle (Incredibles 2) is producing the project, which marks Mothersbaugh’s first feature assignment for Pixar. He has previously scored the studio’s Toy Story short Hawaiian Vacation and several shorts in the Cars Toons series. Hoppers is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on March 6, 2026 by Walt Disney Pictures.
