Bitcoin miner IREN reported its first full-year net profit following its expansion into artificial intelligence cloud computing and an increase in operational capacity with more efficient mining equipment. According to a source, the company’s net income for the year ended June 30 was $86.9 million, a significant improvement from the previous year’s loss of $28.9 million.

Revenue more than doubled to a record $501 million as the firm boosted its production capacity to 50 exahashes per second. Adjusted EBITDA surged to $269.7 million, nearly five times higher than the prior year. The company’s mining operations now generate over $1 billion in annualized revenue, while its nascent AI cloud unit is projected to reach up to $250 million in annualized revenue by December. IREN has already deployed 10,900 NVIDIA GPUs and has infrastructure capable of supporting over 60,000 GPUs across its sites.

With nearly 3 gigawatts of contracted power, the company is positioned as one of the fastest-growing in its sector. Data from the IndexBox platform indicates that this level of energy access is critical for scaling high-performance computing operations in both crypto and AI. IREN’s market capitalization of $5.3 million is now close to surpassing its largest rival, MARA Holdings, which is valued at just under $6 billion. The stock rose 13% in pre-market trading, extending its year-to-date gain to over 120%.
