Photography exhibition on show at Jersey Zoo

Images from a world-renowned photography competition have gone on display at Jersey Zoo.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year, now in its 60th year, is on loan from the Natural History Museum in London.

This year, the competition received 59,228 entries from photographers of all ages and experience from 117 countries.

The images will be on display at the Durrell Discovery Centre until 28 September.

Durrell’s CEO Rebecca Brewer said: “We’re really excited to have Wildlife Photographer of the Year return to Jersey Zoo again this year.

“These breathtaking and poignant images are a stark reminder that our work at Durrell is more important now than ever before – to protect the many species that face significant threats every day.

“We look forward to seeing many islanders and visitors enjoy and be inspired by this amazing exhibition.”
