40-ball! Thanks to Paige Bueckers, the WNBA has reached its first 40-point game of the season. And although this was a monumental feat for Bueckers, it still wasn’t enough for her team to get the win in the end, unfortunately. In-fact, it actually did the exact opposite, leaving her team to only downturn. Because of this loss, the Dallas Wings couldn’t contend for the playoffs, they lost multiple games after, and so many players on their team were inactive, they had to sign multiple extreme hardship contracts last minute. But, she might’ve inspired a win in the tunnel, because the Dallas Wings have been serving look after look.
In great news, the Minnesota Lynx’s were the first team to clinch a play-off spot, a top spot at that. Alyssa Thomas made WNBA history by recording three consecutive triple-doubles, and it was officially announced that WNBA play-offs would follow a best out of 7 game-format.
And with the U.S. Open happening there’s bound to a multitude of tennis-inspired fits in the tunnels.
