The NASCAR Euro Series delivered a weekend for the history books at the Autodrom Most, as a record-breaking 43,212 fans packed the grandstands and hillsides to witness America’s favorite motorsport roar through the Czech Republic. The atmosphere was electric, the racing was intense, and the event firmly cemented its place as one of the premier stops on the NASCAR Euro Series calendar – the contract has been extended through 2027 right before the start of the NASCAR GP Czech Republic.
“These fans are truly passionate,” said Jerome Galpin, CEO and President of the NASCAR Euro Series, during Sunday’s Grid Walk. “The Czech Republic has always given us a very warm welcome, and this year we even had the honor of hosting President Pavel, who took the wheel of a NASCAR beast himself. This is a country deeply dedicated to pure racing. The track layout really suits our series, the drivers love it, and we’re absolutely thrilled to extend our partnership here through 2027.”
Adding to the spectacle, the series welcomed a very special guest: Czech Republic President Petr Pavel. In a first for NASCAR in Europe, a sitting head of state not only attended the race weekend but fully immersed himself in the NASCAR experience. Pavel was seen with his camera in hand, snapping photos on the starting grid, capturing the thunderous action in turn 1, and mingling with fans during the iconic grid walk.
The President’s connection to the event started even before the green flag. On Thursday, Pavel suited up and climbed into a NASCAR race car himself. With Czech star and reigning OPEN champion Martin Doubek by his side as a co-pilot, the President first experienced the raw power of the V8 beast from the passenger seat — and then took the wheel himself for an unforgettable drive around the Most circuit.
The combination of a passionate local hero in Doubek, the history-making presence of the President, and the overwhelming fan support created a unique celebration of NASCAR in Europe. With roaring engines, wheel-to-wheel battles, and an atmosphere that rivaled the great race weekends in the United States, Most proved once again why NASCAR belongs on the biggest stages of international motorsport.
The 2025 regular season is in the books and the action continues with the star to the playoffs at the Motorsportarena Oschersleben in Germany on September 20-21. Join the spectacle on side or watch all qualifyings and races live on EuroNASCAR’s YouTube channel.
