Katy Perry has released the first earnings figures from her world tour “The Lifetimes Tour”.

According to Billboard, the singer has sold over 1.1 million tickets, generating more than $80 million (about 73.6 million euros) from shows in the US, Canada and Australia alone, while most of the tour has not yet begun.

The pop superstar kicked off her North American leg on May 7 in Houston, visiting over 20 cities, before continuing on to Canada and Australia, where her 13 concerts were completely sold out, writes DailyMail.

The tour, conceived as a theatrical spectacle around Perry’s figure as “savior of the world” amidst a kaleidoscope of butterflies, is expected to include a total of 91 performances on five continents.

Demand for tickets has been extraordinary, especially in Asia. In China, where six performances are scheduled, tickets sold out in just one minute.

To cope with the interest, Perry has added additional dates in Paris, Australia and China. The tour will then head to Europe, with shows in cities including London, Manchester, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Barcelona.

This huge success comes just months after British media reported that Perry was facing poor sales in several cities.

New data, however, shows otherwise, positioning The Lifetimes Tour as one of the most profitable and extensive tours of her career.
