Demon Slayer Actor Takahiro Sakurai Reveals He Is Rajinikanth Fan, Names THESE SS Rajamouli Movies As Favourite Films
Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle arc is all set to arrive in theatres with a trilogy of films. Part one created records in Japan and Europe. And now, the film is all set to hit the big screen in India. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1 will be theatrically released on September 12, 2025. Ahead of that, renowned voice actor Takahiro Sakurai has revealed that he is a fan of the superstar Rajinikanth. Other than that, he admitted to watching SS Rajamouli’s movies.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Takahiro revealed he is a Rajinikanth fan. When the actor was asked if he would ever dub for the superstar, he mentioned, “I don’t think I will be able to. He has a very solid presence and a deep voice. I don’t think my voice will suit him. I would love to know actors from India whom my voice could suit.”
Later, when the actor was asked about his favourite Indian films, Takahiro named SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Baahubali. He also Rajinikanth’s 1995 film, Muthu. The actor further discussed Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Part 1 releasing in India. For the unversed, Takahiro has voiced Giyu Tomioka’s character in the film.
“I am just very excited for all the international fans to see this film. I went to France for the promotions, and I saw the French fans being so excited before the film came out. I was touched by that excitement the non-Japanese fans have. I feel that fans will connect with this and my character a lot more once they have finished watching this. So, I cannot wait for them to see this,” he added.

Continuing the conversation, Takahiro opened up about Demon Slayer’s global popularity. “There is something within the Japanese craftsmanship that brings people outside of Japan together,” he said. He also stated that the Japanese are really good at ‘reproducing’ almost everything from the world, while keeping ‘Japaneseness’ alive.
