Anne Hathaway was spotted in a video shared by People magazine confronting paparazzi on the set of “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” The long-awaited sequel has been filming at various locations in New York City since July to much frenzy from fans. Paparazzi have swarmed the set on shooting days to capture glimpses of returning characters and their new fashion choices. Hathaway appeared protective on a recent filming day that included child actors.

“You guys have got to relax,” Hathaway told paparazzi. “There are children on set today. Does everyone know that there are children on set? So everyone is going to relax, and we’re going to have a very nice day because we have children here. Thank you.”

Hathaway returns in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” as Andy Sachs, who in the original movie was an aspiring journalist and the personal assistant to the ruthless fashion magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep). Plot details for the sequel remain under wraps. Hathaway and Streep return alongside original cast members Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, plus Tracie Thoms as Andy’s best friend Lily and Tibor Feldman as the chairman of the magazine’s parent company. Also back again are director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.

The sequel reportedly follows Priestly as she navigates her career amid the decline of magazine publishing. She faces off against Blunt’s character, her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered luxury executive with advertising dollars.

New cast members for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” include Kenneth Branagh, who is set to play Miranda Priestly’s husband, as well as Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet in undisclosed roles.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is set to open theaters on May 1, 2026, from 20th Century Studios and Disney.
