An active search is underway after a child was reported missing early Wednesday morning in Fayette County. Pennsylvania State Police said 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey was last seen in the area of the 100 block of 3rd Street in Dunbar Borough. A release from officials previously said Eutsey was last seen in the area around 2 a.m. During a press conference late Wednesday evening, however, Sergeant Richard Sizer with state police said she was last in the area around 6 a.m. after an “electronic device she was believed to have used” pinged inside the residence before she went missing. They said the child’s foster mother who she lives with did not report her missing until almost 1 p.m. “Any time that we have conflicting information. That’s concerning. Any time that we have a nine-year-old child that’s missing, it’s concerning,” he said. “So, yeah, the information that we have is sparse. You know, she shouldn’t have been gone this long.”Officials said the child may be at special risk of harm or injury and has developmental disabilities. She is described as four feet tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is said to weigh 45 pounds. Sizer told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that special search teams have been called to aid in the search. The use of dogs and drones are currently searching the area close to her residence and along a nearby trail. As of Wednesday night, officials said search efforts will pause at midnight and will restart early Thursday morning.
