One person is injured after a shooting in Lehigh Acres that placed nearby schools on temporary ‘secure status’ Thursday afternoon.According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting at Lee Boulevard and Gunnery Road is under investigation and the parties involved knew each other.The School District of Lee County said Sunshine Elementary School and Tortuga Preserve Elementary School were on ‘secure status’ with no one allowed in, but operations continued as normal.
