More than a decade in the making, writer-director Joe Hollow has reworked his 2014 indie film Disciples into The Devil’s Disciples.

Now available on VOD, preview the award-winning horror fantasy thriller in our exclusive trailer below.

The late, great Tony Todd (Candyman) and Angus Scrimm (Phantasm) appear in the film alongside fellow horror icons Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects), Linnea Quigley (The Return of the Living Dead), Brinke Stevens (The Slumber Party Massacre), Barbara Magnolfi (Suspiria), and Debbie Rochon (Tromeo and Juliet).

The star-studded cast also includes Nick Principe (Laid to Rest), Elissa Dowling (We Are Still Here), Morgan Peter Brown (Absentia), and the late Camden Toy (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), along with Tom Lodewyck, Debra Lamb, Kaylee Williams, Chris Burchette, Matt Ukena, Tawny Amber Young, and Shannon Lark.

A dark shadow is cast over Lucifer’s dominion when an amulet of immortal power ends up in the wrong hands. It becomes a race against time as Lucifer’s highest council must come together and deal with an ancient prophecy that threatens Lucifer’s reign. A threat that is feared to be a descendant of the ancient Seraphim – a powerful, fallen angel with wings of fire.

But the prophecy is written in form of a riddle. Is this Seraph the enemy of Lucifer or a loyal defender of Lucifer? A defender against who or what? Lucifer’s highest council must now confront destiny or risk the fall of Hell’s reign on Earth.

“Directing this film was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life, as it allowed me to collaborate with some of the greatest names in horror—artists I deeply admired long before I ever worked behind the camera,” Hollow tells Bloody Disgusting. “To share time on set with them was a gift, and their performances feel even more precious now that some are no longer with us.”

Hollow continues, “10 years after the film’s first release, I felt the need to not just refine it, but to transform it into something entirely new. I’ve reshaped it into a darker, more linear, more personal, and far richer vision than before. This cut stands not only as the definitive version of the film, but also as my tribute to the extraordinary people who helped bring it to life.”
