EXCLUSIVE: Another high-profile package has found a home as Netflix has landed the pic Saturn Return starring Charles Melton, Rachel Brosnahan and Will Poulter
The film is timeless Chicago-set romance exploring the themes of love, loss, and life’s complicated turns in the ten years between the aspirational young love of college and the complicated realities of adulthood.Â
The pic be directed by Greg Kwedar with Plan B producing. Emily Wolfe will also producing. The film is written by Gaelyn Golde with revisions by Kwedar and Clint Bentley, who we are excited to be reteaming with streamer on the heels of acquiring their Sundance breakout Train Dreams. The film is based on an original script by Golde.
For Melton and Netflix, this marks a big reunion after Melton earned the best reviews of his career in the Netflix drama May December. He was most recently seen in the A24 war pic Warfare and recently wrapped production on the Nic Refn pic Her Private Hell for Neon. He is also set to star in the upcoming season of the hit Netflix series Beef.
Brosnahan is coming off the smash hit DC Studios pic Superman where she plays Lois Lane. The film has grossed $611 million at the worldwide box-office and a new movie has already been dated for summer 2027. She was also recently seen in the 20th Century pic The Amateur. She also recently landed the lead role of the highly-anticipated season two of Presumed Innocent.
Poulter was also recently seen in the A24 pic Warfare opposite Melton and Cosmo Jarvis and reprised his role on the most recent season of The Bear. He was also recently seen in the A24 pic Death of a Unicorn.
