BEND, Ore. — (KTVZ) The fourth annual Kendall Soapbox Derby is set to bring excitement, creativity, and a little friendly competition to River’s Edge Golf Course this Saturday.
Teams from across Central Oregon will race their homemade, motorless cars down the winding course, each built for speed, style, and plenty of laughs. From sleek, aerodynamic designs to whimsical, eye-catching creations, the derby promises entertainment for the whole family.
In addition to watching the races, attendees can enjoy food, music, and a chance to meet the teams behind the cars. The event is a celebration of community, ingenuity, and good old-fashioned fun.
For those brave enough, a few lucky participants, including local reporters, will get the chance to ride down the course in a soapbox car themselves.
The Kendall Soapbox Derby kicks off at 2 p.m., and spectators are encouraged to arrive early to grab the best viewing spots.
