On IMDb, one viewer called the film “a stinker”, saying it had “one-dimensional villains, stereotypical supporting characters and poorly directed drama” that rendered the story “utterly inauthentic”.
They continued: “And the absolute second-rate CGI effects and tedious action sequences don’t help the suspension of disbelief much either. A stinker.”
Another viewer penned: “In an overall general way, Ice Road Part 2 is entertaining, but it’s also a ridiculous [film], with an awful script, horrible acting and at times so bad it was funny.”

One review called it “simply ridiculous”, while another said: “This is awful. Nonsensical plot. Contrived situations. Some of the worst acting I have ever seen. Dialogue that could have been written by the worst hacks to have ever put pen to paper.”
Some viewers actually enjoyed the film, which has a approval rating of 18% on Rotten Tomatoes, with one fan writing: “I highly recommend this [film] for anyone looking for a good Liam Neeson movie.”
