Summer must be coming to a close, because the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are just days away. Since announcing the first round of performers for the highly anticipated awards show, which included Sabrina Carpenter, Ricky Martin and Busta Rhymes, MTV has added an additional crop of artists to the roster.

On Friday, MTV announced that Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Yungblud and Nuno Bettencourt will come together for a moving tribute performance to the late “Prince of Darkness,” Ozzy Osbourne.

Last week, Lady Gaga was also announced as a performer. The VMA-winning pop star is set to bring the “Mayhem Ball” to the main stage — and she’ll be in star-studded company too. Also hitting the stage are Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Tate McRae, Conan Gray and Doja Cat.

Some of these performers will also be receiving honors on Sunday night: Martin will receive the Latin Icon Award, while Rhymes will be honored with the MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award. Mariah Carey, this year’s Video Vanguard Award winner, will also perform a medley of hits from her decades-spanning discography.

The awards show will air live on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS for the first time and will simultaneously be streamed on MTV and Paramount+. The evening’s festivities, hosted by rapper and actor LL Cool J, will take place at New York’s UBS Arena.
